'SitiTalk At The Village Garden' is part of 'Let's Talk Africa'; a segment on 'Power Up With Uché' which is a SitiTalkTV Production for SitiTalkBlog.
“SitiTalk At The Village Garden”, keeping you abreast with happenings in Sub-Saharan, with a view to
starting a debate, which we hope, in turn, will lead to finding solutions.
This episode, “COMMERCIAL SEX WORK”, takes us, today, to Nigeria; Africa’s most populous nation, where we will be looking at the thriving sex trade that has defied the pseudo-legislation banning it, the taboo against it, the strong Christian and Islamic religiosity of the Nigerian people, the HIV/AIDS scare, as well as the share danger of being on the streets of Nigeria.
We ask sex workers what keeps them in the trade, an expert why the industry continues to grow despite the odds and a group of young ladies, what they think of it all.
As we explore the sex industry in Nigeria and what it means for the future of its mostly young population and the country, we hope that the government and relevant development partners will intensify the need for stronger enforcement of legislation and policies to ensure a decline in this dangerous trade to which some young women and men are drawn.
We, at “SitiTalk At The Village Garden”, hope you enjoy the programme.
Happy Viewing!!!
