On May 18, 2016, 22 year old Chibuike Edu, accused of a crime he never committed was willfully tortured by the Nigerian Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Enugu, and died 10 minutes after he was taken to the Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane by SARS and the Executive Director of Integrated Chemicals Industry Ltd (INTECIL), where late Chibuike worked, was falsely accused of theft and unlawfully arrested, and subsequent brutally tortured by SARS, which led to his death.
"For the Love of Chibuike - Part 6" presents an update about the public hearing scheduled at the Enugu, Nigeria Magistrate court on the alleged extrajudicial killing of Chibuike Edo on May 18, 2016. The hearing was adjourned from February 28, 2017 to March 20, 2017. The Edu family, through their lawyer, is asking the court to order a post-mortem examination on the body of Chibuike Edo. The family is also asking that the court insist that the family’s pathologist, as well as the University Teaching Hospital at Ituku-Ozala, be part of the post-mortem examination.
