27th African Union Summit: Focus on the Rights of Women

The 27th African Union Summit is scheduled to take place from 10-18 July 2016, in Kigali, Rwanda.

The theme of the Summit is: “2016: African Year of Human Rights with particular focus on the Rights of Women” Specific dates for the meetings of the different AU organs and decision-making bodies during the Summit will be as follows:

10-12 July 2016: 32nd Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC)

13-15 July 2016: 29th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council

16 July 2016: 35th Meeting of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Summit

17- 18 July 2016: 27th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union
